What is Reiki?

Reiki is an ancient Japanese healing modality.  It is based on the awareness that an unseen energy flows through all living things and directly affects the quality of a person’s health and has been a part of the wisdom of many cultures since ancient times.  This life energy goes by many names; qi in China, ki in Japan; and prank in India and science refers to it as biofield energy.  When your life energy is low, it effects your health in many ways.  You are more susceptible to illness, as it weakens our immunity.  You are unable to handle stress and stressful situations.  You may have trouble sleeping as well.  When your life force energy is strong, you feel strong, are less likely to get ill and can handle stress better.  Reiki is a technique that increases your life force energy.
